I am loving it!

oh...not McD but our DSLR:-) my all time stress reliever has been shopping....even if it is an endless window shopping spree...i don't care... it totally does the therapy for me:-) this evening was one awesome shopping evening...filled lots of goodie bags for navarathri ...yes, i have a big gang up at my place in the coming week with lots of tiny tots....nothing is more fun than gifting them ....they enjoy the goodies so much better than the lousy food we make...ha ha ha

the moment i got back home from Christmas Tree shops....thank goodness i had not ventured into this shop this last one year...I would have probably ended up bankrupt! Its got so many wonderful stuffs in there, I have been in and out of this shop almost 5 times this past one month....

well, yes, the moment i got back home...i cleared up my table, spread all my purchase and started clicking...i had props too...fruits in autumn color...what more can i ask....liked the pics so much that i wanted to put it up here instantly....hope u all like them too....:-)

Navarathri special!

I did a post on my cookery blog about Navarathri...may be because many ladies come together in that blog and its easier to connect to the festivities that way!

Well, I thought I should link the post back here...cos this is my blog for all my blah blah....So, here is the link to that post.....

Uncertainity!

Its Uncertainity every day, every hour, every minute and every second...........Will this ever come to an end! Why does it always have to be making a choice, taking a decision and being in chaos \...Will there ever be calm in the sea of life! Is this how everyone lives? Probably even the Sages?!

US Open!!!

Wow....Watching the US Open Women's Finals live at Arthur Ashe was definitely a great experience. Loved the crowd, the drinks, the freebies, the posters, the food....everything about the place was fun and sporty. Next time though we would book for the Men's finals!

Everytime we go to Arthur Ashe, its the same heady feeling that takes me over. In 2005, I got a chance to watch the 3rd round ...even then it was the women's match:-( ha ha...It was very unfortunate that day cause, the very next day Sania Mirza was to play the 4th round! Such a close miss! But all of us...we were a group of 6, got a chance to show our patriotism on NDTV....never knew if it was telecast or not though...lol;-)

Its so nice to be among a huge crowd...everyone having come to enjoy their evening watching 2 great sports  persons play their favourite game. The only dampening factor was the weather. Had it not been a bit chilly it would have been more rewarding. But matches played by women for some reason gets over too quickly. Its not the days of Martina and Steffi anymore! Have seen some of their matches go on and on. So, next time it is Men's Finals!

Cooking is an Art!

Will men ever realise it?! Am not referring to all the men who are Chefs around the world churning out lovely menu's every day out of their kitchens...am referring to the "Mango men"..."aam aadmi"..;-)

Cooking definitely is'nt Science to go by measurements all the time. Things don't turn out the same way every time you make it....but how come it always tastes the same at Saravana Bhavan...anywhere across the globe? Gosh, again.....logical questioning...?! Me and my brains....to hell with it! I don't need an enemy outside....she is there right within meee!

It surprises me sometimes that the best cooks around the globe are men! They are the ones who spear head any kitchen in any of the restaurants...well, atleast should be 90% of the case i hope? Any wedding caterers in India...you find only men working as a group preparing the feast. May be because...women are too feeble to handle the heat from those kitchens and those heavy dishes?! Answers please....

But when it comes to everyday cooking in households...atleast Indian households...its the women folk who are heading the kitchen! Men never seem to understand the intricacies.....why did the system get to be like this? Ofcourse, they are very good critics:-) One cannot always cook by measurements....its not fun to do that...u need to just cook with a  flair the way u like it....is'nt it?!

So much to write

Yes, there is so much to write about and am not doing it for some reason. The Food blogging is taking up most of my attention...thats why we always hear people saying...if you enjoy what you do, u will never feel bored about it! Probably, i enjoy food blogging more:-) Will this give me a reason to do something about it in future....I don't want to think about it now!

Everytime, i listen to a conversation or look at something or travel somewhere...I want to blog about it but the thought seems to remain a thought forever! The other day while we were waiting for our yoga class to begin, I happened to hear (no...i did'nt eaves drop....) they were simply too loud for my hearing abilities;-)...how can i turn a deaf year to a loud conversation?!

Well, it was these 2 ladies, well in their late 50's or early 60's! They have been neighbors in Connecticut for 26 years now...one is of Indian origin and the other must be of some European origin! I know these details cause they told this to everyone in class...about how long they have been friends and how their kids grew up together...and  now the 3rd generation...their grandkids play together etc etc. OK OK...let me come to the point of what i overheard.....

Can you guess what these 2 could have been discussing during those 5 minutes when we were waiting for the class to begin....."Men can lose weight easily than us ladies....they have a different metabolism....I have been trying to shed these extra pounds and is just not happening...I strictly do not eat any carb foods just to keep my weight under check"....I was in a state of shock....

All the while, i thought its only youngsters like us ;-) who are talking about this weight loss and diet foods all the time but to know that ladies who are well into their 60's also talk about the same issues....made me laugh so much that day! Having been neighbors for 26 years...did'nt they find any other spicy gossip to chew....what a boring topic to talk about....! My hubby and I were thinking if in all these years they would have discussed nothing but weight loss....no wonder they take up yoga classes together every season;-)

Relief!

Ohhh....what a relief?! We generally say, pleasure can be experienced only when you have been in pain but it can be experienced even when u have seen someone very dear to u suffer in pain. I am in such a kind of relief today! Feel so relieved and glad that my friend is out of the trauma....!

Someone falling sick affects a whole gamut of people...atleast in those days it was confined to a household and a few relatives living around. But it is no more that way. If you fall sick, the whole world knows....I mean in the literal sense....all your friends and relatives living across the globe know of it! With networking sites being used like daily bread and butter, there is no dearth for information whether good or bad. Atleast, it helps pass information quickly and relieves people of anxiety faster..........

FB...u r not bad afterall

FB seems to be doing the trick for me...! I simply never thought of using it the right way! I have had more hits to my sites now after i started posting my bog posts on FB. More than someone seeing my blog, I get so much more enthusiasm and feel encouraged to blog more. Is'nt this naish...:-)

Gyan....Its all Relative:-)

Well, are you ready to brace yourself with some Gyan! If so, go on and read:-) The Theory of Relativity dawned on us this weekend!

Our calls to my bro in India are usually long and hilariously gyan filled;-) I totally look forward to them, to find what we r going to discuss on each time we talk! One of us end up discussing some new found(by us genius ofcourse) mgmt theory or philosophy! As we were talking this weekend about why everyone is in a race and what is everyone after all the time.....bang came out this truth that everything is relative in this world! Oh, what a realisation....wish we could be aware of this all the time...alas, it does not happen so!

Someone we were talking to the other day too told us the very same thing! Every person has some problem to tackle which in his/her perview is huge. We end up thinking that the rest of the world (the circles we know) is happy and has everything they need and we are the deprived souls....whilst, the rest of the world thinks the same about us....ha ha ha...the birth of the gyan....."everything is relative". What you think you may not have which someone else is previledged to have might be applicable to the other person too!

About an hour back, me & bala set out for an after dinner stroll wondering if there would be anyone at all we would come across at this hour. We observed that so many people were out taking a walk and enjoying the cool breeze. To this I said, " do not close your eyes and think the world is dark...open and see for real" ....LOL....too much gyan for a simple observation;-) Well, have a gyan filled week ahead....!

to hell with....

this is so not done....truly upset and makes me wonder and question my faith every time...why does life have to be so brutal only to those who are really lovely and nice...after all they are only asking for more love and kindness in their lives...not money or fame...why do things just not go right for those right people.....

Foooodddd!

Wow...Fooodddd! It never fails to tempt anyone in the world i guess..:-) One evening a couple of weeks back, i just happened to upload a chat i prepared on FB and the kind of response I had to that post was simply surprising. In a couple of days, i uploaded something else that i tried in my kitchen and that too had a similar response and for the next pic too...this made me think, why not i take my food blog more serious.

I was telling Bala, Food never fails to kindle interest....so many responses for a simple dish? What i started on his encouragement as a simple blog of the different dishes i try in my kitchen, is now taking a different shape! I have had more hits to my page in the last two weeks, than I have had in the last 8 months...All credit goes to FB! Good job there!

Now, am looking at it more sincerely and am going to be using FB to promote my page! I know, it sounds a little too much and also know that the initial responses will die down eventually. However, am sure if i continue to post, more people will take me seriously....once i have more interesting recipes in all sections, i will go ahead and create a page in FB! Sounds interesting Foodie:-)!

Sore Hands

Wonder how tailors across the world work round the year with needle and thread...! I do have a fancy for sewing and love to do needle work. Have been working on a cross stitch kit sent by my dear friend since the last two days and i should say typing all day is better to sewing all day....makes ur fingers go really sore...:-(

FAD

Facebook Addiction....I realised that off late I am glued to FB way too much! Its like this...I log into FB at the very first opportunity in the morning...and then check all msgs and notifications...logically i need to logout once this is done, jus like i logout of yahoo or gmail...but NOOO...i don't!

I remain logged in to FB for no reason....well, now i hv some reason...i play wordscrapper and chesspro (don't mistake me for a PRO....am not even close to being a beginner ;-)) but this good old friend insisted that I try a hand....poor soul, must be thinking why in the world she pepped me into the game...:-)

Whenever i read articles on FB addiction, I used to wonder how can someone be so glued but i realise now that u get drawn into it unnoticed...! It had literally made me a couch potato...i stay put in the same corner of the couch with the laptop besides me and not knowing what am looking for in that blue page...&*! I hardly stepped out of home , can understand during winter, but not during mid-summer....staying indoors jus to keep gazing at a blank screen?! So much so, that I had even been postponing vacuuming the carpet. Its not like I live in a sprawling mansion which will take days on end to be cleaned and dusted. Hardly any carpet area...just 10 steps in any direction...u have covered the length and breadth of the house!

So now, am making a conscious effort to limit the FB time! Experimenting with my culinary skills, re-looking at my arts & crafts and ofcourse writing these blogs. Ok, now, what next...log out of blogger annnnnndddddd jus a quick little check of FB...?! :-) ha ha ha

Thayir sadham and vadu mangai!

ooooohhhhhh...even as i type, it is soooooooo mouth watering...just about nothing can beat this combo....last night after our yummy chat dinner of pani puri and dahi puri...(ofcourse made by me except for the store bought puri's) .....there was this overwhelming desire to have some curd rice to quench the heat of the chat.....wow...nothing can be more gratifying i guess.....the taste of the fresh curd with pickled tender mangoes......hhhhmmmm...am up for it anytime....even if the world wants to call me a "thayir sadham"...i don't care;-)

Build your bear!

Yesterday I had been to the mall with my neighbor and her kids....going with kids deftly teaches u a lot of patience...lol! Best about the outing was I ventured into lots of stores which i usually never bother to give as much as a glance...! One such was this "build your bear workshop"...yes thats the name of the shop...funny ain't it and good enough to draw attention of the kids...

we are involuntarily drawn into the store by the 6 yr old with us....and i found its a world of its own...WOW...really needs to be appreciated for its unique concept and the amount of thought that has gone into designing the store and the stuffs...you can build a bear from scratch and come out of the store graduating it from college...ha ha ...yes, believe it or not the store has everything...name it and there it is!

Choose the kind of bear(soft/hard)...the outter clothing and color, the stuffing, the designs on the bear and the sound he needs to make....and it does'nt end there....how could u bear for your Bear to be just bear...he needs to be dressed...and there it is...the finest of T's, pants, shorts, caps/hats, shoes, socks, sandals, slippers...u name it...and if it is a She Bear and there it is ...all accessories to adorn every part of her body....infact there r cars and bikes on which u can place ur bear ...and these cars have seat belts too....oh my...thats the limit for me.........Wooohhh....I was simply blown away by this store...ofcourse everything comes at a cost...So, before u think of visiting this store with ur Kid....make sure ur wallet is stuffed...:-)

i need some FUN!

I need a break....cannot endure this silence any longer....there is no more sound in the house other than the keyboard clicking from my laptop, the mouse click by my husband at his desk and the swirling sound from the dish washer.....oh come on...this is not how a home should be at 9 in the night....and worst of all....i open the window for some noise outside and ....ssssssshhhhhhhh...dead pan silence there too.....oh please....is there a kind of self imposed curfew that befalls everyone that sets foot in this free nation....USA

today has been particularly a very very boring and home sick day for me...what with one of my best cousin, with whom i grew up and whom i have played with like my barbie doll...dressing him up in my frocks and adorning him with my accessories....tieing the knot back home in Chennai...me sitting here, with my thoughts moving back and forth on how much fun am missing sitting so many miles away....I hate abroad life only for this one reason....we need to miss out on all the functions, weddings and festivities...

so bored tackling the boredom all day...I had been looking forward to the evening expecting Bala to get back home at his usual time...so we can go for a swim at the pool as we had planned....and bingo...someone heard my plans and to liven up my already sparkling day...it starts raining from nowhere....there is a knock at the door and am i surprised anymore.....nooooo...its my sweet neigbor with her kids...obviously she too is bored handling the 2 kids all day....our hubby's car pool and i get the news they r going to be home late due to some meeting....

OK....i enjoy with the kids....and there they come a little after 7.....now what....Bala is hungry already and wants to hv an early dinner....cool.....but am not hungry?!.......he is done with dinner by 7.30pm while i update him on all the chennai news and abt the Janvasam (spoke to dad to gather some wedding vambu..;-)) and then.....he takes his laptop out and goes to the comp desk....and begins working again.....is'nt this like the perfect day.....wow....how much better can it get

I give him a huge stare reminding him that its not even 1 hour since he got back from work and he is already working again....like getting back home is like some kind of a lunch break?!! ok...i know its no use giving such gyan....so, i sit in the couch brooding over the silence...eat my dinner in silence after an hour...load the dishes and get back to my comp not knowing what to do....and there it is this BLOG....born out of my boredom....lol:-)

So called GOD....who r u?!

more and more i try to find an answer to who is GOD and where he is...the more i feel convinced...i have been living in fantasy abt the Supreme powers existence all my life.....! Have been listening/watching the live telecast of the consecration celebrations of Dakshina Pandurangam happening at Govindapuram, TN since morning....but i no more feel the pull and devotion i used to feel a few months back...

hey, am i becoming an atheist or hv i already become one....i think yes...how am i going to take this forward ...let me wait and watch

am into it!

seems like am in the mood now....i want to write and keep writing! the writing bug has bitten me again...its been only 3 months since i didnt write but hv been feeling like its been eons since i visited my blog.

i seem to be having my tough times quite often....jus didnt feel like writing since the last 3 months..wonder of all, i hate to touch any books now. whatzuppp?! summerrzzz up i guess...i jus want to be out there sitting in the patio among my flowers, talkin to them in our silent language....or jus take a walk to the mall and that good for nothing Walmart...lol...i know what u r thinking! If it is so not worth y do u go?!....well, still worth a visit for some odd stuffs!

today is supposed to be a hot day...so, may be splash in the pool for a while would deftly be good! So many options for a home maker....oh all those hard working men and women....sorry that v can hv so much fun....:-)

Rabiosa

RABIOSA...means angry and furious female dog! ha ha ha ...what is Shakira furious about....sure u will get it as u watch the video or hear the song...! Another one of her hip shaking numbers...hv been hooked to the song since i heard it a day ago....with over 6.8m views in 48 hours am sure anyone can agree how good the the music is....if u look at the lyrics...its hardly not more than 4 lines...but there is something abt this Colombian that makes u go back again and again!

Oh, how crazy i was abt her Hips Don't lie and still am...can never get enuf of her hips i guess....lolz!

busy busy

its been busy busy days out here doing nothing. well, busy reading books, chatting, shopping etc...lol! My latest read, "Shopaholic & Baby"....oh, what a fantabulously funny book...I have become a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella. Well, somewhere in between, i feel like thrashing up Becky Brandon for her reckless shopping addiction but she is cute and i enjoy her character thoroughly....want to read the other books left out in the series!

I have managed to watch the movie "Fashion" for God knows, probably the umpteenth number of times...Will i ever get tired of watching this movie...NOOOO! by now, i know the movie scene by scene , even better than the script writer...:-)

hv to get back to my cookery blog and start updating some recipes..well, my kitchen, here i come...

Rainy Weekend!

Love the rains...atleast its not snowing out there:-) its been raining since night and its so good cos its brought the temp to 40's....and it feels so warm out there...crazy i know!

Fun part of this rain, there is "flood watch" and "flood advisory" by the weather channel...God, what will this country do, if it rains like it does back home? too hard to imagine..

Long hours

Long working hours are the order of the worklife back home in India...esply if u work in Chennai! It never used to feel like am working for such long hours though i used to be out of home by 9am and back in only by 9pm! The day just used to fly by in a jiffy. Today, i realise how long those hours are for people who are at home...ha ha ha...! My hubby has been having an exceptionally long day at work today....left in the morning at 8 am and its 9pm now and still in office....LOL! Now, i realise how boring the life of stay at home wives are, waiting the whole day browsing thru boring TV programs.....how long can she gaze at FB or watch videos on you tube! Afterall, that one person needs to be back to take out all ur boredom on....ha ha ha:-)

Within 4 walls

Is this called living within 4 walls, being confined, staying indoors, being quarantined, stay closed, behind the doors...OMG, how many ways to say the same thing.....also can be called being house arrested.....well, lol, house arrested more by this horribly cold weather than anything else! I never thought, i would fight the winter so much by forcing myself to stay indoors so much. Seriously, what is with me....am so demotivated to speak to anyone, go and hit the gym, or even practice my yoga at home! this weather is making me as lazy as i can possibly get.

Just remembered that my laundry is still in the dryer waiting to be folded...what hv i been doing the whole day?? good question, but hardly any answer...except i managed to do the routine daily chores and a little extra for 15 mins. yes, I tried the microwave recipe of "mysore pak" and it came out pretty ok...not too bad for a microwave thingy! however, can be deftly much better. Thankgod i made very little of it, so, i won't end up eating too much and adding on to my pounds!

Lion & Heart:-)

Last evening we had been to a tax consulting session and came across this cute little boy there in the office! It was a very cute experience....

I walk into the reception and let them know we have a 6 pm meeting fixed and we are asked to be seated. Me and my hubby get seated and bang comes this cute little boy, around 4 yrs, and gives me a paper with a bird picture printed on it....then he moves around and comes back to me with a telephone directory and a crayon....so cute....I did'nt know what was happening and the other visitors seated around were smiling at me including my hubby.....

I asked him..."do you want me to colour the bird?" and he was like "yes"...and I told him..."why don't u do it ....please do it for me" and he was like.."no, its for u...u can do it" and I again tell him " I would like to see u do it..:-)" and then he is ok with it and takes it all from me and sits on the floor and colors it in 2 mins and comes back to me and shows me the picture....I said, " wow, this looks so nice....its beautiful" and he says..."its for u"....OMG, i was blown off....what a beautiful moment it was for me...for a strange little boy to be gifting me with this lovely piece of his
work....something made me feel very nice and light ...am unable to express that feeling i had in words..! After handing over the paper, he went around to join his parents who were sitting with the tax consultant.

When they all came out of the meeting, I spoke to his parents and told them what a lovely child he is. He then showed me his other coloring work and gave those to me and took the bird coloring with him....so, now i have a lion and a loving heart...

Anjappar!

Winter is at its fag end and yet not there still! waiting for the Spring break...Well, temperatures are rising to 50's for a couple of days and again dipping back to 30's through the next 10 days...not so great when everyone is waiting to get into the summer clothes...!

The past week has been quite a roll what with me not having time to blog. not that i hv a big fan following waiting for my blogs to roll...but it makes me happy when i someday sit back and read them. Had been to NJ to meet up with some friends and had some really good food over sat & sun! Planned fro a typical chettinadu style food and hit upon Anjappar with friends! To our surprise the food was excellent...I believe Chennai Anjappar is not all that great( per my hubby). I had this awesome "ennai kathrikai kuzhambu"....and managed to doggy pack the remaining back home...served me up for the dabba next day...what more can i ask than a reprieve from the kitchen on a monday morning..:-) all the non-veg lovers at the table must hv been wondering, what a waste , to hv someone eating veggie food at "anjappar"....true...the whole place was smelling of some lovely chicken roasts and vanjaram fish fries but that was not for me to relish ...only to smell.... its "Isha" all the way for me...

However, I have to mention, given that this restaurant was located in New Brunswick, NJ, USA did not make any difference to the ambience of the place...It was crowded with eager carnivores, waiting to dig their canines into those already dead and fried chicken, fish, crabs and goats...added to that, was the most shabby and unclean tables one can find in the United States i should say. Even restaurants in India would clean the tables and remove the left overs on to a tray and trash them....and here we could see cleaners, using a cloth and removing all the left overs on to the floor around the table....oh...what crap? I felt like walking out of the place that instant but as always, we resigned to the idea of some sumptuous meal and had them clean the table clear and the floor around too.... at-least all we could do was to make sure we had clean tables to eat!

Valentine!

Well, it could be just another day and it mostly always is just another day! I still remember my first valentine day after marriage where i was bubbling with all enthusiasm expecting to receive surprise gifts from all over the places i go......alas...it turned out to be only in that fantasy world of mine! as it is, it turned out that my better half is not as good at giving surprises as much as i love being surprised...:-) One of his best efforts in surprising me during one of my b'days back in 2005 turned out to be a major flop show with me getting the hint of it all the way through the plan....lol! So, I have now kind of resigned to the idea of not receiving surprise gifts for any occasion but the couple of times it has happened, i hv prided myself in being able to change someone from their habits...:-)

Today turned out to be a very satisfying one in many ways! The weather was super good hitting 40 def F, made it to the mall with a friend and managed to do some shopping like as if we were in some mall back home! and managed to snack something in the mall( though cannot be compared to the pani puri or bhel puri) a Mexican equal to our Indian Chaat! Oh, what a refreshingly nice day it was to step out on your own and do some shopping at ur own sweet pace and there is the Valentine fever all over the mall! Every other shop from Jewelers to Footwear sellers trying to cap in on St.Valentines Day!

Yet another weekend!

It was an ok kind of weekend! Saturday was fun with so much shopping..:-) Shopping is always fun especially when they are gifts and shopping for kids sooo much fun especially gals! OMG, what variety ....boys could ask..."why should girls have all the fun"...lol! There was also a nice b'day party to finish off the day... got to speak so much in my mother tongue after a long time...actually i guess that was more gratifying about the party than the food...! However, sunday's always end up being boring especially towards the end of the day....anywhere across the globe, i believe this is the scene with monday morning blues setting in and the expectation of what the new week has in store! Hoping for a great week ahead and wishing all prayers come true and is blessed by the Almighty...

Anxiety

already off the blog by a day! wonder what? but was way too anxious to do anything including writing a blog ....my cookery blog has been hanging with an incomplete recipe since 2 days now...got to finish cooking it today. actually there has been not much activity from my networking circles too....no mails, no scraps and am left to wonder what am i to do .....am bored...lol!

am beginning to see some funny dreams in my sleep where i forget what my relation to a person is and yet keep rattling to her and she gives me this funny stare! am like wondering why she is giving me that funny look and then realize that am talking to her about her daughter as if she is some third person....lol! all in a dream....! the next morning, am laughing about it narrating it to my hubby and he has an equally funny dream....this being political figure in a movie like situation though!

A.Raja's arrest and the impending election situation in TN and our discussions around who might be the possible candidate for the next term, all put together triggered a dream for him too i guess. but being able to be impacted by something that is happening miles across the oceans is so intriguing:-) why should we be affected? we are not there in the scene at all but yet does not feel good to know that our country is in the hands of some people who try to control it with money and power. I mean, look at China, our very neighbor and how quickly they are progressing....some may sit back and talk ill about them being communist and all but what about the communist states of India...Kerala and W.Bengal for example. The most laid back states in the country i would say. Kerala is surviving because of tourism and W.Bengal hardly surviving at all. Nothing progresses here. Whether it be Democratic or Communist, the attitude of all in India is to make as much money in their term as possible, looting the public of their welfare and the development they deserve as a nation.

It is the attitude that needs a radical change and this is goin to be hard to change what with the political system being so fragile. So many parties, so many alliances, everyone fighting for a position of power. Unless the country has 2 really strong and huge parties and unless we have a total revamp of all the politicians...i don't think the country will progress or the people are goin to be happy either.

Probably,we could clone more Gandhi's from his grave and make him take classes everywhere on Integrity and effective Leadership! If only all wishes could come to be true.....:-)

2nd consecutive day

ha ha ha....hard to believe for myself but am here again and am going to make a habit of it. well, am kind of all done for the day.so no more of kitchen until dinner time...yipee! and it is only 9.30am. thats like a lot of time for myself. have resolved to be more disciplined from today. resolve made last night while fighting to get some sleep. Its being increasingly difficult to get sleep these days. was wondering if it is because am not giving too much work to my brains, so obviously am not tired. have been thinking of taking up some online language course and get back to quilling. have to get going on these and start ordering materials to pick on my hobby:-) to think of the idea in itself is very exciting...! have also made a resolve to be more stricter with my exercise regime and yes i managed to think of quite a lot of topics that i could blog about. so, blogging..here u go...am coming...

am bored today!

can u believe it?!....am myself not able to. its been snowing all day and i hv company at home as my hubby is working from home and am completely bored...! this has got to be crazy but that is what winter and US can do to anyone! no wonder we have so many depressed souls in this country. this is the 3rd blog am writing for the day....lol! and there have only been 3 blogs i have written for the whole of 2010....ha ha ha:-))) well actually today i even started off with my new blog on cookery....hope to add more interesting recipes in future....! I was so needing to be enthused that i ended up reading my own blogs for sometime now and felt happy that i had started blogging sometime in the past. its interesting to read what my thoughts had been sometime in the past and want to continue blogging so that i may be able to keep myself company during days like today:-)

ring in the spring!

Is northeast of US meant for snow. i never knew it can be this bad. initially during mid-nov'10, when i heard of snow in other parts of US, i was way tooooo upset that it is'nt snowing up here. but now i wish, it stops and i had'nt missed it so much. waiting for Feb to end and Spring to spring in with all its beauty. the place seems to hv been covered by a white spread for way too long.

somehow the eye does not feel bored to behold a spread of green carpet everywhere for however long a period but snow....can't endure u for too long dear...pls melt away and let the earth breath some freshness into the air. it definitely is beautiful to watch the snow fall but after it stops is when it starts getting dirty. there is so much dirt all over and with the chill, some of it turn into ice and sleet, always putting u at the risk of slipping and falling. waiting for the temperature to rise a bit and hit the 50's...so we can get rid of layering ourselves multiple times to step outside the house...even if it be a short walk to the neighboring block...:-)

well, i guess am not much of a blogger. why can i not make better use of my time speaking to the world thru blogs....but i hardly do though i resolve to it from time to time....crazy me...probably am not much of a blogger....*&%$%#%#
