So much to write

Yes, there is so much to write about and am not doing it for some reason. The Food blogging is taking up most of my attention...thats why we always hear people saying...if you enjoy what you do, u will never feel bored about it! Probably, i enjoy food blogging more:-) Will this give me a reason to do something about it in future....I don't want to think about it now!

Everytime, i listen to a conversation or look at something or travel somewhere...I want to blog about it but the thought seems to remain a thought forever! The other day while we were waiting for our yoga class to begin, I happened to hear (no...i did'nt eaves drop....) they were simply too loud for my hearing abilities;-)...how can i turn a deaf year to a loud conversation?!

Well, it was these 2 ladies, well in their late 50's or early 60's! They have been neighbors in Connecticut for 26 years now...one is of Indian origin and the other must be of some European origin! I know these details cause they told this to everyone in class...about how long they have been friends and how their kids grew up together...and  now the 3rd generation...their grandkids play together etc etc. OK OK...let me come to the point of what i overheard.....

Can you guess what these 2 could have been discussing during those 5 minutes when we were waiting for the class to begin....."Men can lose weight easily than us ladies....they have a different metabolism....I have been trying to shed these extra pounds and is just not happening...I strictly do not eat any carb foods just to keep my weight under check"....I was in a state of shock....

All the while, i thought its only youngsters like us ;-) who are talking about this weight loss and diet foods all the time but to know that ladies who are well into their 60's also talk about the same issues....made me laugh so much that day! Having been neighbors for 26 years...did'nt they find any other spicy gossip to chew....what a boring topic to talk about....! My hubby and I were thinking if in all these years they would have discussed nothing but weight loss....no wonder they take up yoga classes together every season;-)

  1. losing weight or staying in the range of proper weight without too much fluctuation, becomes a higher priority as we grow older. ask a person who is old and they all want to trade it for youth. ask a person who is young(below teens), they all want to look old. but human beings & their bodies respond perfectly when they are in between these two. So people should take care of that body at an younger age to look and stay healthy at an older age. Otherwise, we hear these kind of conversations. Note, weight loss was not a priority about 20-30 years ago in many parts of the world. My rant in your blog...!!!

  2. yes..i think they had better things to worry about 30 yrs back than weight loss! more to do with our lifestyle changes and food habits in these days, that "weight loss" has become a topic of discussion whether you are young or old!
