oh...not McD but our DSLR:-) my all time stress reliever has been shopping....even if it is an endless window shopping spree...i don't care... it totally does the therapy for me:-) this evening was one awesome shopping evening...filled lots of goodie bags for navarathri ...yes, i have a big gang up at my place in the coming week with lots of tiny tots....nothing is more fun than gifting them ....they enjoy the goodies so much better than the lousy food we make...ha ha ha

the moment i got back home from Christmas Tree shops....thank goodness i had not ventured into this shop this last one year...I would have probably ended up bankrupt! Its got so many wonderful stuffs in there, I have been in and out of this shop almost 5 times this past one month....

Uncertainity!

Its Uncertainity every day, every hour, every minute and every second...........Will this ever come to an end! Why does it always have to be making a choice, taking a decision and being in chaos \...Will there ever be calm in the sea of life! Is this how everyone lives? Probably even the Sages?!

US Open!!!

Wow....Watching the US Open Women's Finals live at Arthur Ashe was definitely a great experience. Loved the crowd, the drinks, the freebies, the posters, the food....everything about the place was fun and sporty. Next time though we would book for the Men's finals!

Everytime we go to Arthur Ashe, its the same heady feeling that takes me over. In 2005, I got a chance to watch the 3rd round ...even then it was the women's match:-( ha ha...It was very unfortunate that day cause, the very next day Sania Mirza was to play the 4th round! Such a close miss! But all of us...we were a group of 6, got a chance to show our patriotism on NDTV....never knew if it was telecast or not though...lol;-)

Its so nice to be among a huge crowd...everyone having come to enjoy their evening watching 2 great sports  persons play their favourite game. The only dampening factor was the weather. Had it not been a bit chilly it would have been more rewarding. But matches played by women for some reason gets over too quickly. Its not the days of Martina and Steffi anymore! Have seen some of their matches go on and on. So, next time it is Men's Finals!

Cooking is an Art!

Will men ever realise it?! Am not referring to all the men who are Chefs around the world churning out lovely menu's every day out of their kitchens...am referring to the "Mango men"..."aam aadmi"..;-)

Cooking definitely is'nt Science to go by measurements all the time. Things don't turn out the same way every time you make it....but how come it always tastes the same at Saravana Bhavan...anywhere across the globe? Gosh, again.....logical questioning...?! Me and my brains....to hell with it! I don't need an enemy outside....she is there right within meee!

It surprises me sometimes that the best cooks around the globe are men! They are the ones who spear head any kitchen in any of the restaurants...well, atleast should be 90% of the case i hope? Any wedding caterers in India...you find only men working as a group preparing the feast. May be because...women are too feeble to handle the heat from those kitchens and those heavy dishes?! Answers please....

But when it comes to everyday cooking in households...atleast Indian households...its the women folk who are heading the kitchen! Men never seem to understand the intricacies.....why did the system get to be like this? Ofcourse, they are very good critics:-) One cannot always cook by measurements....its not fun to do that...u need to just cook with a  flair the way u like it....is'nt it?!
